What is the Helping Hand Ministry?
Helping Hand is a ministry dedicated to serving the needs of the poor, homeless, and needy in the York, PA area. On the 3rd Sunday of every month we assemble a team of people to prepare, deliver, and serve delicious food to a large group of hungry and sometimes homeless people at 2 different locations in the city of York. And we always share God’s love along the way!
The Helping Hand Ministry provides an opportunity to ‘Walk the Talk’ and to take the love of Jesus beyond our church walls. It is a great experience that you will never forget. We have individuals and families along with Sunday School classes, Bible Studies and other church groups. We welcome all including groups such as the Boy and Girl Scouts, Karate Classes, Realtor Groups, etc. For those who are not able to travel to York to serve, there is a warm fellowship available in preparing the food in the Grace Kitchens.
Come join us on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
- 11:00 AM (immediately following worship) – prep time
- 4:30 PM – load vehicles, drive to York, deliver food
- 7:30 PM – clean up and go home with a feeling of fulfillment
